Video Me

Here's a video of a talk I gave at my old college a couple of weeks ago:

I haven't watched it, myself, but here's what the critics are saying so far:

"You look like you just want attention and are an autogynephiic (sic)." - Fieldofaware

"She looks very nervous. Too much pacing and prancing even spinning ..." - HoustonTxLiLy

"... she is acting all effeminate and queeny!" - Fieldofaware (again)

So, yeah, rave reviews, pretty much.

Well, a lot of the kids at my college seemed to really enjoy it. I wasn't all that nervous, but I did pace a lot. I don't have all that much experience with public speaking.

At the time, I thought it went well, anyway. I guess I was wrong, according to the internets, so feel free to mock and pick apart my mediocre presentation skills, if you like.

Just checking out the video, I think you did a fantastic job! I've always hated public speaking, and I know how flustered I personally get. :( But everything in your presentation was wonderful, and it was extremely informative. The reviews I saw for the video, are obnoxious and annoying, more than disheartening, but from someone who can actually remember how hard it was to stand up in front of a class, and do that, I praise your work!

Thank you very much for your video. It has been very informative and encouraging. Especially for me, I have always thought I need to have done extensive bone work in order to get the look I am looking for. I am not expecting to change my face for another one, there are features of my face that I think can be kept and enhanced. I have seen you pictures as a male, and although is dramatic the change, I can se important features of your face that remained, I am interesting in doing something similar. I think this approach is helpful in the process of inserting your new image into and already existing social environment, and keeping still the essence of you people related to before.

I wonder if you would be willing to share information regarding the cost of these procedures.

Thank you very much in advanced.

@Gina, I spent about $23,000 in total on my FFS, I think. As I recall, the scalp advance was $8500, the rhinoplasty was $6500, and the lip lift was 2 or 3k. The rest was charges for anasthesia ($1500?) and other miscellaneous fees, plus a hotel for a week.

Not cheap, but I'm happy with the results. Dr. Spiegel does good work.

Hello Suzanne,

Thank you very much for your prompt response. Is not cheap at all, but being something so critical, I see the importance of being in good hands; hopefully the price reflects his experience. I did really liked his work, and yes, you should be happy with the results.

Thanks again,

Gina

Thank you Suzanne, I really enjoyed it. I think you did a great job. I always find it helpful to see how and what others like ourselves have been through over the years to get to where we are today.

Being true to ourselves, about who we really are, is very advantageous and to one of the biggest pros about completing our goals of transition.
